I have not posted anything yet, but have been reading and commenting on other blogs.  There is not much I can add to anything that has been said, so I will leave it at that.  Happy I am not.  Disappointed I am.

Went to the doctor yesterday.  Had to get my meds redone and blood tests to check all the things that my need to be checked a couple of times a year.  I am happy to report that I am just about as healthy as I can be for  66 y/o male with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high triglycerides.  I have been fighting fight a cold and cough for a few days, so he gave me some happy medicine.  Hasn't helped the cough, but now I don't give a damn!

Oh well, onward and upward or downward, as the case may well be.  I want to thank Stephen for his post this morning.  It was well said.  Life must go on.  We can't let ourselves be taken in too much with happenings of yesterday.

God Bless you All.  Keep the faith---johnnyb

  1. John - i understand your disappointment. and yes, Stephen and Duke both did good posts today. i have to admit that i feel pretty disappointed too.

get some unpasteurized honey and put a big blob in the bottom of a cup, squeeze in a slice of lemon and then add boiling water. that will help with your cough. drink this at least 3 times a day until your cough goes away. oh...it tastes even better with a shot of dark rum - bahahahaha!

    1. I have been doing the green tea thing with honey and lemon. Hmmm-dark rum. That's a thought. I always used Jack Black. Or Southern Comfort straight up. Open the bottle and through away the cap.

    1. The house is in the town that I live in. It is not even a town anymore. Not even a ghost town. The house was built in 1902. I was quite a house in its day. If you can enlarge my profile picture it can be seen in its earlier days.
